Tanya Golden SC is a member of the Cape and Johannesburg Bars. She practices in the areas of employment & labour law, administrative law, general commercial law and corporate law (corporate governance, fiduciary duties of the board of directors and removal of directors) . She has a specialist practice in employment law and is often appointed to conduct investigations, to prosecute charges and to preside in complex disciplinary hearings involving senior employees at executive level in both the private and public sector. She is a member of the Financial Services Conduct Authority (previously FSB) Enforcement Tribunal and is well versed in the regulatory framework which governs financial services in South Africa. Golden SC is an AFSA commercial and employment law arbitrator and a FAMAC trained divorce mediator. She has served as an acting judge in the High Court and Labour Court. She has held leadership positions in the profession and was chairperson of the Cape Bar from 2016/2017. She is currently the chairperson of the Cape Bar Transformation Committee.
